Most likely you are not physically tired but mentally and emotionally tired which leads to feeling of being “swamped” or “overwhelmed”. Most often it is because we have taken on too much, not knowing our own potential and/or carrying life too heavily, feeling like you have the weight of the world on your shoulders because you are trying to do everything yourself.

What is the remedy? “Come unto Me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” Matthew 11:28

Allow this text to dissolve into your thoughts, as a kind of spiritual mental soothing balm. As you reach out and turn to Jesus in your thoughts, He will give you rest. How does he do that? One way is by showing you how to work or live life by what he tells us in scripture.

“Learn of Me” He says, in other words live by my method. “My yoke is easy, and My burden is light” Matthew 11:30 That is to say, easy does it,  don’t strain and tug or push yourself, take it easy.

Take one day at a time, do one job at a time which is using the light touch , the easy stroke. You will find you will no longer feel burdened and overwhelmed by continual daily multi-tasking, you will be able to focus much better and do a better job at whatever you are doing. You will be
